The Sure Signs of a False Salvation
In these ending moments before the rapture of the church there is still time to have a genuine salvation experience, but you must first completely surrender your heart and will to Christ. If the following applies to you I urge you to not brush these scriptures aside but to consider them carefully. A false salvation experience can be reversed in a moment, but you must first be willing to exchange years of deception by the organized church for the truth of God’s pure word, the King James Bible. Are you willing?
Do You Believe you are without Sin?
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we
say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
As surprising as it is there are many people out there who think Christ
died to make them former sinners.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Provision was made in this new contract for transgression of the law. Why would this be done if it was not possible to break the law anymore? To break the law is sin; and if you sin you are a sinner, pretty simple stuff. When we break the law now, not the old Law of Moses but the new law written upon our hearts by the presence of the Holy Spirit, we simply get on our knees and repent.
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all
acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom
I am chief.
This is one of those verses that people either try to ‘correct’ from present tense to past tense or brush aside completely. Paul himself tells us that He is the worst of sinners; not I was a sinner, but I am one. So if we’re still sinners what use was Christ dying on the cross?
When we’ve had a genuine salvation experience God writes His law in the tables of our heart by the presence of the Holy Spirit. His presence in our hearts doesn’t make us former sinners but gives us a fighting chance against sin. A slave to sin wears chains and cannot fight back, but Jesus came to set the captives free. We are no longer slaves to sin and as such are able to have many victories over it.
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I,
not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into
subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself
should be a castaway.
Sin is a constant struggle for us as long as we are on this earth. Our
salvation experience is a series of these battles like a prizefighter.
Sometimes we get knocked down, but we get back up and keep on fighting as
best we can. Jesus is in our corner throughout our fights and will never
leave or forsake us.
Do You Believe you are Worthy?
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up
himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first
cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And
they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one
by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left
alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Tied closely to believing you are without sin is the terrible deception that you are worthy to enter Heaven. Those who tried to stone the woman caught in sin were convicted by their consciences of their inherent sinfulness and unworthiness to cast that first stone, but what about today?
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience
seared with a hot iron;
If these men were here today they would marvel at the wickedness of our generation, so utterly disconnected from their own sinful hearts and unworthiness. Their consciences have been rendered useless by seducing spirits and false doctrines.
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was
slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour,
and glory, and blessing.
So if only those who are without sin are worthy, who is worthy? Worthy is the Lamb! When we appear before the Father on Judgment Day and are asked to give an account of our lives what will we say? Will we begin to list all of our accomplishments to Him?
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Nobody gets into Heaven without invoking the name of the Son, not one. If you are counted worthy to enter Heaven it is only because He has covered your sins, not because you yourself are worthy. Do you understand the difference? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Not through your pastor, church or some other third party I mean just you and Him?
Genuine Salvation 101
A genuine salvation experience begins with the realization that you are a sinner. So many dear souls to God are lost because they think they have to ‘clean up their lives’ before they come to the cross. But what He requires from us is just these things. That we acknowledge we cannot clean up our lives on our own, repent of our sins and make lifelong commitment to turn away from them. He doesn’t do it all for us, but wants to work on our sin with us.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not
defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are
Are your garments spotless? Although Christ died on the cross for all sin we can only repent of those committed in the past. Whenever we sin we must repent once again. Does that mean we can lose our salvation by forgetting to repent of a few sins? Of course not! We can only endanger our salvation by completely ceasing from repenting anymore when we sin, thus rejecting the forgiveness that has already been paid for.
Seriously, people do this but I don’t have a clue as to why. It is like winning the lottery; all you have to do is cash the checks before they are voided. If our heart’s desire is to please God the Holy Spirit is aware of it and will bring to our minds any sin that needs repentance. We need not worry that we may have forgotten one or two. This is why understanding that we are both still sinners and unworthy are so important. Understanding this fact is what draws us time after time back to the throne of grace. This is how we keep our garments.
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said
to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
There are professing Christians out there who have never repented of their sins since the day they chose to follow Christ! Some have gone twenty to fifty years or more without doing so. Do you wear garments you haven’t washed for fifty years? When we repent of our sins often we are washing our garments and making them white in the blood of the Lamb. I ask you once again; are your garments spotless?
